I had a similar problem with my Chevy Cobalt. A few things to check that I did to solve my run down problem. (1) Turn everything to off: radio, fan, and auto lights to manual. (2) Once transmission is in neutral and the Ignition, Passkey III fuse (#8 in the Cobalt) is pulled, try to turn the ignition key to OFF. Leave it there. If the key is left in the on/run position, power is applied to the engine ignition coils and the low speed power steering assist motor (electric). Once I started that practice, no more depleted battery for the past 15,000+ miles. When stopped over night with the TOAD hooked-up, I'll turn the car off and disconnect the Break Buddy.
