Jeep Wrangler is a great vehicle to tow....BUT... After owning three Jeeps and then buying our fourth in 2013 we've had it with Jeeps. Will probably never own another one. Sure, good and easy to tow. But, man oh man, uncomfortable ride with less than impressive fuel economy. Wind noise, rain water pouring off the roof into the Jeep when the door is opened while getting in or out during a rainstorm. Relatively small inside if you 're over 6'. Guess we just wanted something that would be easier on our old bones. Traded it in about a week and a half ago. If you're young and looking for adventure, go for it! Happy traveling!

We tow 2014 Jeep Trailhawk and love it. Easy to setup, fun to drive and has all the safety features. Have towed 02 Honda accord 4 down, was okay, 2013 Chevy Malibu on tow dolly, one trip and traded it for Jeep Trailhawk, never looked back.

It will really depend on what you would like to use the toad for.

If it is to just go the the store and out to dinner, any towable car will do.

If you like to go back road or offroad wildlife viewing then an all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive would be much more suitable.

If you want to haul firewood, go to the beach and throw sandy gear in the back, go hunting or fishing, carry a small boat, or an ATV then a truck will be more suitable.

I have towed all three and the extended cab truck does it all for my type of traveling. With the truck, I have no limits of what I can do with the toad.

Chevrolet Spark with the 5sp manual transmission. Light weight, back seat lays down for extra hauling space and it is cheap. No fuses to pull, put it in neutral, turn the key to the first notch (not acc), release the brake and go.

We tow a Chevrolet Equinox and love it. Not very heavy, nice roomy car, good mpg and nice looking. I see several in the CGs we visit.

Jeeps are fun until the novelty runs out. Then you get tired of taking them in for repair and you get tired of the rough ride.
