Best Mini van

I have a class A, An older one, I am planning to upgrade within the next 2 years. But I have to buy a car now. I need a mini van. What is the best mini van that I can get that will be able to be towed behind a RV with all 4 on the ground. Any help would be great.

Thank you
Debra

Google "Dinghy Guide 2015" and then always verify in the vehicles manual that it can be towed 4 Down.

As you will soon find out, there are no newer model (<5 years old) mini vans that can be towed four down. Front wheel drive models can be towed on a dolly so, if you really have to have a mini van, start thinking tow dolly.

Or plan on adding a transmission lube pump to that minivan, to enable 4-down towing.

The last minivan I know of that was factory-approved for 4-down towing was the 2004 Honda Odyssey. Honda withdrew their OK in early 2005, as I recall.

You can probably find a good sized SUV that is 4-down towable and has capacity similar to the minivan. GMC Acadia/Chevy Traverse would probably do the job.

You are correct, HOWEVER, there are lots of us towing newer Honda vans with no trouble. We have an '05 Ody with just over 99870 miles on it. I also talked to a gentleman at the Phoenix GS rally that had a 2010 model he's towing four down and has had no problems. Just follow the instructions for the CR-V as to set up. I did have to install a charge line as the battery went dead in two days of towing even with starting and running it as the CR-V instructions call for.
