Best tow bar for MH

Requesting thoughts of which brand to buy for towing my Jeep Wrangler behind my Allegro Bus 40AP. I am also installing the motorcycle Hydra Lift. Would you recommend Blue Ox, Demco or others? Also which model?

Spoke to someone who needs to put on an extender to his Blue Ox because his Hydra Lift dented the front end of his vehicle. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Michelle

Got the Hydra lift set up and use the extender pulling the jeep. Use the Blue Ox tow bar and seems to work great so far.

I just put blue ox on MH with hydra lift. I used 12" extension (already had in hand) and it was fine with lift in vertical position. I plan to go to an empty parking lot and test the turn radius with the lift not the horizontal position. Just got an 18" extension just in case as I fear the jeep is too close. What else is everyone using successfully?

Check your rear axle weight before you plan on adding a HydraLift. Most 40ft coaches are at or near their limits before you start adding 1500 lbs 6 ft behind the axle. Hydralifts are not recommended for non-tag axle coaches.

Call the Powerglide dept. at Tiffin for verification.

I am using the Blue Ox Aventa and the 18" extension from the Hydra lift. Seems to work well.

I highly recommend the NSA ReadyBrute Elite towbars with built-in ReadyBrake! These are rated at 8000 lbs, and the ReadyBrake is simple, effective, and less cost than anything else out there that I know of!
