Being a nice guy?

Is it illegal to have a bike carrier on a auto and carry bike's on them? I know "all" of them block the license plate to some extent and auto's with center license plates are really blocked due to the center of the bikes sprocket area. I have sense looked at auto's carrying bikes and "most" of the time(98%) you cannot see the plate on the auto........Maybe it wasn't my bikes and the blockage at all(for being pulled over as he passed me going the other direction and turned around and came up behind me) Maybe he was looking for something else......

We plan on taking our two bikes to AZ this winter but we are going to keep them inside the MH. Yes they will take up space, but I don't see a problem I will use a old blanket to cover them and something to go under the chain area. I will still be able to get around them. But as stated above no road grime, no blocking plates, let alone most covering most of the BREAK lights. I won't have to worry when staying over night @ reststops, truck stops anywhere. (thieferie) Piece of mind, no checking the mirrors a zillon times enjoy the day, driving.
Merry Christmas
