You never know....many products change suppliers from time to time and they could have just got some bad cabling, affecting some units and not others. I carry a spare umbilical set up for my coach. It includes the electrical cable, air hose and breakaway cable for the Air Force One unit. You never know when you might have an issue and its nice to have a spare you plug in and get back on the road.

I would tape up that old one as a spare, hide it in your toad and buy a new one.
