I had a Blue Ox tow kit installed 2 years ago and it's worked flawlessly. Yesterday, however, I noticed that my left and right turn signals were not working. This morning, i started ohming out the cable Blue Ox provides that goes between the motorhome (7 pin connector) and the 6 pin connector on the front of my towed vehicles. Nothing....So, the 7 pin wiring pulled out of the connector the minute I started to loosen the one back screw that holds the wiring inside the cable. When I tried to align the wire colors to the screw connectors on the back of the connector, I found the connector wanted a blue wire and I only had a yellow wire left over???? Now, I'm going to have to take the 6 pin connector off to see if there is a mismatched color on its back. Anyway,....

Does anyone have a simple Blue ox 7 pin to 6 pin wiring diagram????

The connector wiring is pretty standard, take a look at this link from e-trailer.com, it should help.

Does your RV or toad use a separate light for turn signal and brake? (often an amber turn signal) If the two vehicles are different, you need a converter. If you have one installed, they can go bad and need replacing.

Agree. I was sitting behind the coach diagnosing my turn signal problem when my neighbor stopped by and asked "What's that burning smell?". It was the converter box. Sure saved a lot of time tracing wires.

Thanks everyone. My problem was that the back of the 7 pin connector had imprinted color names next to the pins that did not match the colors of the cable nor the 7 pin standard diagrams. So, I had to pull the 6 pin connector backing off the connector, grab the 6 pin standard pin out and do a color standard to color wire transfer and then match it upon the 7 pin side. Went out and tested it and it worked fine.

BTW, the braking power is handled by an Air Force One using a T off of the Air Brakes. The cable is only used for 12V hot, lights, and left and right turn signals.
