I had an older Aladdin that I bought off ebay and, it worked for towing a few different Jeeps over about a 10 year period. After about 8 or so years of use, I disassembled it all the way down to the last nut, bolt, pin, spring, ram etc. No damage on anything. And, as state, that was an ebay tow bar, I have no idea how long it had been used prior to us getting it. Worked great for the time we owned it. But, a deal came along on an Aventa II so, we jumped on it and, sold the Aladdin with the last Jeep. Sure do miss the light weight of it vs the Aventa II now.

Thanks Scott, appreciate the info. You should have no problems with the Aventa II. That’s what I have been using for 16 years now. Going to overhaul it, so going to use the Aladdin while waiting for parts for the Aventa II

When I did my original research on towing equipment back in 2011, I decided on the Blue Ox Aladdin Tow Bar. Was good for 7,500 lbs. I am still using it and probably have about 75,000 towing miles on it to date. Have rebuilt it several times with the nylon washer rebuild kits and am getting ready to take off again.

It has worked flawlessly since I bought it.
