Blue Ox AVENTA II won't stay locked

I am having a problem with both arms of my Aventa II. When we pull forward, both arms usually pop up and lock. Sometimes one does and the other does not. It takes some effort but I can eventually get both to lock. New problem... They do not stay locked. When we stop for gas or other needs, we check the tow bar and one side or the other may no longer be locked. I spoke to Blue Ox and she offered the suggestions of tightening the screws for the locks or sending it in for servicing.

Has anyone had a similar issue and if so, what was the resolution?

Thanks!

Mine only comes unlocked if one of the safety cables rests on it.

Are you sure they are unlocked? Mine sometimes act like they are but are not really unlocked.

I will verify that next Monday when we hit the road again. Thanks for the suggestion

You should contact Blue Ox, and or schedule a stop in Pender, NE.

Some info you might find useful... Blue Ox operates a small campground (Like 10-20 sites) free to blue ox customers, Full hookup as I recall..

That is the UP-Side.. You can stay there while they fix your tow bar.

HOWEVER... The stockyards are occasionally UP WIND... If that happens you will not want to go outside your RV.
