Blue Ox base plate

We just got a jeep grand cherokee for toad.We are good sams members.Went to camping world, the price to install the blue ox plate and the wiring (have blue ox on m/h we are picking up this weekend) is 942.00 is this a little high?
I priced the same thing on internet and the price (tow plate and wiring) was much cheeper then from them. When i asked about it with the manager, said they discount labor, and good sam members so it would be cheeper from them as buying on internet and taking to have put on at a shop. I am unable at this time to do it my self or i would.
We will be needing other things done when we get back. Are there other options than camping world. We live just outside of fayetteville Ar not much to choose from on service.I really do not want to drive 200 mile to get service done, but may have to.

Blue OX plate and wiring equipment is about $450, leaving the other ~$500 for labor. I just looked at the instructions for a 2012 GC, and 3 hours for baseplate and 1 hour light kit feels about right to me. That would be $125 an hour.

The instructions look great btw, perhaps you can read them and reassess your DIY situation. Net is that isn't a "ripoff" price, and if it were me I would do it myself given the very comprehensive instructions.

blue ox tow plate

Well i got to looking at C W invoice. This is how they do it.charge you $191.00 for service give you a discount of$ 152.00 that is the $39.00 service, but you have a mounting plate that is one service, then the wiring is another discount so another $39.00 charge. They also charge you MSRP for parts.Get you either way!!
If i bought online save money but they want $150 per hr to install your parts. I have several more projects i will do my self or with the help of a friend, change some lights to LED,etc.I plan on learning much more about this m/h.
I spent the last 30 yr doing home maintenance, just have to learn another skill. Thanks everyone for your in put. I WILL BE BACK!!

The mounting plate MSRP and Street prices aren't that different, perhaps CW deal is the way to go here.
