Mark - I did the write up on the Blue Ox install on the Ford.

One issue I'm dealing with now is that Explorer base plate is the attachment tabs are 18" wide. This limits the use of tow bars. Adapters are required. Its unclear if an adapter is required on the RangeFinder II tow bar, but I can see that the 5/16" holes must be drilled in the attachment tabs to use this bar. The Ambassador and Adventurer tow bars require an adapter. The Acclaim tow bar will not fold and store without the use of an adapter.

Still searching for the right tow bar...

Now have the Falcon 2 tow bar with Blue Ox knuckles, and the Ready Break surge break.
