Blue Ox BX88255 KarGard II Deflector

Anyone have an opinion on this product? It is supposed to shield the toad from rocks being flipped up behind the moho. I wonder if this lives up to Blue Ox standards?

I have a Roadmaster Guardian (think that's the name) in storage. It was one more that I had to take off & put on. Had to find a safe place to put it at the campsite that didn't make the site look messy, etc. Just wasn't worth it. Had a top of the line rock deflector (mudflats that extend across the back of the coach) installed. 20,000 miles later, no damage to the dinghy. I've towed two different boats with a number of different tow vehicles over the years, including 2 motorhomes, and never used anything to protect their hulls.

I use the KarGard and a custom windshield cover. Removed the big full width flap as it was causing a pile of small stones over the front of my CRV and rock chips on the rear cap of the coach from stones bouncing off the KarGard.
In addition to the above, I have the flaps directly behind the duals and that's it. As far as storing the KarGard, no big deal. I just lay it on its back under the coach when parked or fold it and put it in the back of the toad.

I used a tubing bender to bend the kargard towers so it is now at a slant apx 10 degrees toward the mh at the top. My theory was to make it deflect stones downward rather than into the rear of the coach. It certainly did a great job on a trip to Alaska, compared to damage others on the caravan incurred to toads. For storage I made a simple rack that stores the kargard on top of the hitch drawbar against the rear of the mh. You can see it here Tow Setup
