Blue Ox Towbar

We just purchased a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport which has been towed previously. The jeep is already set up for towing -- we also bought a used Blue Ox Tow Bar which appears to be in really good shape. When the arms are fully extended, it seems to have a lot of play (we can move it up and down about an inch or so) - is this normal?? We have never had a toad before, so have no experience with this. Thanks for your help.

Not quite sure what you mean by it moves up and down and side to side would suggest you take it to a Blue Ox dealer and let them do a look over. Right now mine is in the shop about 30 miles away so can't run out to take a look.

Which model Blue Ox?

Where is the free play coming from - at the attach points, pivots, etc?
