IMHO, I think the logic is that you remove them when not using them and lock the pins when you are hooked up for security. I have not seen and way to lock them.

i know that, but they can be disconnected while you might be in a restaurant or other, even if you have locks everywhere else

Install a safety cable from pins to frame. Still it is a good idea to inspect connections as well as tires before pulling off again. I use pad locks that a cable loop can be connected to the base plate to tow bar pins. BTW Good question.

The Pins that connect the Tow Bar to the Tabs lock on my Blue Ox setup. The only time someone could remove the Pins is when the Toad is not hooked up. Either I am missing your question or you have a different setup.

well on my blue ox tow bar, you can pull the spring loaded pins on the tabs and twist the tabs and pull them out , as the tow bars ends swivel around. easy to do and blue ox doesn't have an answer. new tow bar and base plate etc.

I will have to check my tow bar. I never thought of what you are describing. I do not have the Tow Bar with the "Ball" type universal joint. Is that what you have?

There are key lock pins sold for the Blue Ox system, I think they can be gotten for Roadmaster as well...
Since this thread has Blue-Ox in he title
http://www.blueox.com/Accessories/locks.htm
Check out the link, your dealer should have the locks

billyb,
I'd never thought about it either. Next time I visit the rig, I'll see if mine does the same.
One solution comes to mind. A plate or disk that slides over the tab before the tow bar is attached that will keep the tab pin from being pulled?
