Brackets for 2014 CRV

Hi,
We had an accident with our Ford Focus that was totaled out that we use to tow behind the RV. Just bought a 2014 CRV and I'm getting ready to set it up to tow 4 down.
I have a Roadmaster sterling tow bar. I looked at Roadmaster and they show 3 different brackets not sure which ones to order.
If anyone has their CRV set up to tow which brackets did you use?
Is a brake light relay required?
Which supplemental brake system do you use?
Where did you buy the parts from?
Thanks,

Jeff

I opted for the hide brackets. Camping world put them on and gave be back the lower bumper panel and bracket for the car. Too old to do it myself.

Hope this helps!

Last May i installed the Blue Ox towing baseplate, installed a diode harness that just plugged right in to the brake and tail lights. I did not install a brake light relay because the brake system will not be activated when turn signalling is required. I also did not install a charge line and as of the end of the summer I towed several days of up to 7-8 hours and the car started with no problem. My toad is also a 2014 CRV.

Thanks for the tips. I'm looking into ordering brackets soon. I'll let you know how it all turns out.

We set up our 2012 CRV a few months ago with Roadmaster. I forget the exact model of the base plate but it is the one that has a crossbar. The crossbar and brackets are easy to remove when you are not towing.

We went with Invisabrake hidden under the driver's seat. I didn't want a system that I would have to take in and out. Tail lights are operated by the brake system and there is a trickle charger to the car's battery when the running lights are on. There is enough room in the CRV tail light housing to install a separate bulb, which our dealer did.

If you're not sure which brackets to use call Roadmaster for assistance. We had a brake diode package installed for the brake/tail lights, no relay required. For a brake package go look at the RVIBrake 2 package and add the TPMS sensors while you're there! Where to buy... Google for the best internet price...

I used the Roadmaster 521567-1 baseplate with the RM032 tow bar adapter. I have the ReadyBrute towbars with the built-in ReadyBrake on the MH.

I used the Roadmaster 154 wiring kit, and I think I ended up requiring the 88400 brake relay.

I bought the Roadmaster 146-7 cable assy.

I Googled all the parts and bought from the place that gave me the best price!

My toad is a 2013 Honda CRV.
