This is our second time using the Brake Buddy Classic. (We're new to towing) Today when we tried to set it up in the toad the compressor would only run for about a second and then shut off. If we unplugged and replugged it it would run for another second. Even when it finally got up to pressure it wouldn't fire under test and none of the normal lights came on. When I tried to bleed the air pressure, I could hear air leaving and feel it but the gauge didn't come down. Pretty sure the toad batt was OK as we had just shut off the ignition from doing the the transmission set up (running engine for 3 minutes.)
Any one been through this before or is it time to call customer service?

It looks like you will need to call service.

One thing to try is to plug in the BB when the car is idling to make sure you have enough power. Next set the sensitivity to 8 (all LEDs lit). Then press the test button and see if it extends.

Go to the BB website and go through the FAQ's. If you don't find it there look for the reset procedures and follow the directions to reset the unit.
