I have a 1996 Honda Accord and using a 2004 Brake Buddy as a braking system when towing.

We have not towed the car in several months. Yesterday, upon leaving for a short trip, I hooked up my Brake Buddy and the compressor would not cut off after reaching about 30 lbs and then blew a fuse. I replaced the blown 15A fuse and the compressor refuses to stop. It is like it is losing air. I thought about calling Brake Buddy. Or taking the cover off and using some soapy water around the air connections. I have tried the Brake Buddy using the tow car and motorhome cigarite lighter connection with the same result. Before I started I would like some suggestions. Thank you .

Call Brake Buddy. They will fix it reasonably and get it back to you quickly. I think it took just a week from the day I sent it until I got it back.

I broke my BB electric plug. Called BB tec people and ended up sending my unit to BB for repairs. Everything came out fine. They check out my unit to their specs. Fair pricing, great commutations and turn around time. Give them a call for help.

Call Brake Buddy Tech. I had same problem, he said to remove cover and check O rings. as they dry out and may need replacing. Also check hoses inside for cracks and small air leaks.

If you get tired of using the Brake Buddy and it's problem of loosing air, why don't you try the electric systems. I use D-Brake Professional Tow Brake and I heard that they are giving trade in discounts.
