brake buddy power
Someone told me thay solved the problem of power for their aux. brake system in their Equanox. I lost the info . Need help. When the fues is puled to toe the power ports go ded.

Wire up a 2nd power port via a fuse (10 or 20 amp depending on the aux port.. I'd go for a 20 amp port). On the man fuse block (Likely under the dash) there should be a brass stud or two likely near the bottom of the block. Use your friendly all purpose multi meter to make sure there is battery voltage present, Tie one end of a in-line fuse holder to that stud. If you do not have that you can run 10ga wire all the way to the battery. I'd use 12ga if it's a short run (Dash block to socket) 10 ga if you go all the way to the battery, Fuse goes "As close to battery as possible" and will likely have smaller wire on it's socket.
I had trouble with my brake buddy staying powered up and after I talked with them, they sent me a power outlet and enough wire to go all the way to the battery.
They recommend powering on a separate circuit direct from the battery.

There is another option. We use a separate power supply, typically sold as a jump start device, similar to Jump N Carry JNC 660 1700 Peak Amp 12 Volt Jump Starter on eBay!. Useful to have around, and you do not have to worry about draining the auto battery.

I did that and still had problems due to overheating. Solved it by putting sunshade in the front windshield and cracking the sunroof to keep the vehicle cool when towing.
Just so you know how hot it gets.... I used to cook my lunch by leaving it (properly wrapped) on the dash of my car. A white Ford Granada, parked facing North, on the North side of a building, In Liviona, Michigan, In JANUARY.. and it was well cooked by lunch time.
