called brake buddy over a week ago, on hold forever, finally left a message, still haven't heard back from them. When i plug in my brake buddy when setting it up for tow, the air compressor never shuts off and bleeds the brakes. It just keeps running, has anyone else had this problem. The unit is about 5 years old, Thanks for the help

From the Break Buddy manual

Problem: The compressor pumps up and then keeps on pumping slowly.
Solution: There may not be enough current to the BrakeBuddy. You may have a weak
battery or you may need a "12-volt Battery Direct Kit" (part number 39305).
At a minimum, a 15-amp 12-volt cigarette lighter or auxiliary power plug is
required to operate the BrakeBuddy.

My unit is now 11 yrs old and last year had same problem. After talking to B.B. tech, checked all hoses and found one leaking. I have never had a problem getting through to B.B. for help. Last month my compressor wouldn't start. Called and shipped to them. Compressor finally gave up. while it was there, they upgraded to newer digital system at no charge! New Comp. is 100.00 installed. Shipping is 14.00 each way to Kansas. Good luck.
