I have an old Brake Buddy (1998) that is really due for a rehab. Brake Buddy used to recondition your unit for a flat fee (had that done once). I called to see what the fee was now and find that it was sold some time ago and all new people are there. They no longer recondition old units. I beleive they will still repair specific problems but I am not sure what the costs would be.

Has anyone had any experience with Brake Buddy service in the last year?

Thanks.

So Brake Buddy was sold, eh? Perhaps that explains the huge difference in warranty service I experienced in 2003, then last month.

Soon after we bought our BB in 2003 it failed. I called them, and they Fed Exed a replacement unit to me at a campground that day. They didn't know me from Adam.

Last month, our BB failed again (the monitor light stayed on all the time). I called them, and they had me send to it them at my expense. Five weeks later, my repaired unit was returned to me.

If I didn't plan on changing toads in the near future, I would sell the BB and get an M&G system. A three-year warrantly isn't of much value to me when I am left for a month at a time without a toad braking system.

I'm having a Brake Buddy service problem also. My BB is resetting itself to the maximum brake setting. I've sent three emails to BB and I haven't received a reply to any of them.

Thanks for the replies. Guess it's time to look at Roadmaster or Apollo.
