Brake buddy smoked

Think it got fried, when I arrived yesterday there was a strong electrical smell and it had lost pressure and appreared off. Unit is 5 years old and well used. Over 40,000 miles of towing
Anybody ever had a similar problem

Nope ... but, if you plug it into the cigarette lighter, you may want to check the fuse and power cord. If the unit has an air leak, the compressor stays on and will sometimes melt the cord/fuse holder.

Contact Brake Buddy. If you send it in to them they will rebuild it and include any updates for around $140. They are also quite fast on repair and return.

I took my BB into the factory in Emporia KS and they fixed and updated mine to digital display for no charge. If you are close enough was quite worthwhile
