Brake lights stay on

When I hooked up my Blue Ox cord from my trailer to car the brake lights came on. Couldn't get the blinkers to come on and the brake lights and would not go off. When unhooked all lights worked OK. Anybody have any ideas what it might be ?

Does sound like a short or possibly the brake light hot wire is grounded. I assume you are going from a 7 pin to a 4? These are a good investment for $4 Four-Way Trailer Light Tester

What kind of wiring do you have for the lights and what cord from the MH to the toad. Trailer wiring is always a PIA when it doesn't work.
