Thanks, Larry201

Welcome to iRV2!

We continue to use the same brake system we started with 5 years ago - the RVi2 brake. It fits perfectly in the footwell of our Honda Fit, takes <3 minutes to setup, and is light weight (10 lbs) and small so easy to store between trips.

RVi has recently updated the system to a 3 model which has even more features. RVi Brake

Ready Brake system, Ready Brute. No setup after install, no putting in and out and storing, no power wires running down batteries. Mechanical. And possibly cheaper option, will fit anyone's base plate, but must order for base plate.

I use the Blue Ox Patriot brake. Can move from car to pu. Blue Ox is a good outfit to work with.

After 10 years of using SMI Stay n Play, scheduled to have a SMI Stay n Play Duo installed on the new toad day after tomorrow. Hook up the tow bar and cables, put the car in neutral, parking brake off, flip a switch and go. Stays mounted all of the time out of sight. Nothing to install/uninstall every time you want to tow.

Been using the same RoadMaster BrakeMaster system for over 10 yrs now on three different toweds and two different MH's. Fully proportional and has a breakaway feature.

I have used the Roadmaster Brakemaster w/break away for nearly 14 years and over 100k miles. On motorhomes w/o air brakes it has a small compressor that provides air to the system that operates an air cylinder inserted between the brake pedal and a bracket added under the seat (mounts to the bolts holding the seat in). Once installed, it is easy in/easy out.
