Brakebuddy sensitivity Light 7 flashing

I had my Brakebuddy classic compressor burn up on me. I sent it to Hopkins Manufacturing for repair. I received it back and set it up in the car. Upon plugging it in the compressor did not come on. The only thing happening is the #7 sensitivity light is flashing. I pushed the power button three ways to Sunday and nothing. I would appreciate any and all suggestions.

so mine does the same. After the light starts blinking you have to push the test button 3 or more times then the unit should be ready to roll. It should be in the manual.

Does your compressor come on while the light is flashing ? Mine does not.

Thanks,

Dan

Brakebuddy sensitivity Light 7 flashing

I had the same issue, Hopkins said that indicates low amperage on power supply. Mine only fired up when I started the car, ran a dedicated cig plug off battery and that did not solve! My final solution was to set up a battery with a 15 amp fused cig plug attached. Used a sealed battery got off Amazon. A little of a PIA but it works.
