Brakebuddy Service

I wish to share my praise for the Great Customer Service I received from Hopkins Mfg. for my Brakebuddy repair. Started out with a call to them about problem with the digital pressure gauge not reading correctly. Note, I had just purchased the BB Classic used and was only seeking advice on a possible DIY fix. After a brief conversation with Gary in tech support I was asked for the Serial # which I found and gave to them. He promptly informed me it was a bad gauge and it would be replaced under warranty (shock # 1). I packaged it up and sent it off. With a 1 day turn around after they received (shock #2)it it was returned to me with not only the gauge replaced but the unit was completely check over and many other repairs done at at NO Charge to me (shock #3). I could not have asked for better Customer Service. They have won me as not only a Customer but an advocate of a great product and outstanding personnel.

Love my BB.

After the original company sold the original inventor was selling a bunch of refurbed units on ebay for almost half of new. I got one and it has been flawless.

I forget why I wrote the seller, but he replied back with help and said he was the original company. Maybe I called him...that was a long time ago. LOL. Anyway, I guess they had some left over units they repaird and sold them off.

It's been a great product and works flawlessly. I have it set so it only activates toad brakes when I have to panic/hard stop. For normal driving I don't need the toad to brake. The wireless indicator tells me when it does. I have used it in 3 different vehicles. Try that with your hard-wired systems. It's very easy to setup and operate. I really like the break-away feature. I don't relish the thought of my toad passing the coach on a mountain pass! LOL

BTW, on the way home yesterday from a 400-mile overnighter the traffic was stopped on the freeway for a truck on it's top and his toy-hauler trailer on it's side. Not a pretty sight.

A great testimony.... thanks for sharing. Hopefully other companies will learn the power of positive word of mouth. I personally bought a used Brake Buddy over 11 years ago. Have been fulltime with it ever since. Not one problem to date with the Brake Buddy unit.
