Brakemaster question

I recently had work done on my Mercury Villager and a few weeks later when we went to use it, I found that the single brake light warning wire from the car has dis-appeared. Can anyone tell me where it connects to the car so I can replace it., can't even get a response from Brakemaster. Doesn't show in any of there on line manuals etc.

If you ar erefering to the one that has the little bullet plug that is your (its working light) in your coach, it hooks to your brake switch on your brake pedal. I don't know on your car what wire it is, but with a tester it would be easy to find. The brake switch is on the brake arm under the dash. Find that, and test wires with the brake pedal depressed, the one that is hot when applying the brakes it the one it hooks to.
Hope that helps.

When checking the brake wire at the brake pedal it will be the wire that has no current when the brake pedal is not depressed. Depressing the pedal and checking will show current on both wires. You want the wire without current so when you depress the brake pedal it completes the curcuit and sends power to your coach light.

legryz is correct, I was backwards.

Or just call the mercury service area and ask them what color the hot wire is for the brake switch..
