Breakaway Cable

I've installed a roadmaster base plate on my 07 Honda Element SC. Run wiring for the turn signals. I have and RVI braking system and am going to mount the breakaway cable, but I cannot find any hole or grommet on the firewall to run the cable to the system on the floor.
Can anyone give some guidance on the routing of the cable?

Tx, Bob

I would look for a rubber grommet on the firewall (look under the dash) and gently push something through there. If you can't find one, you will have to drill a hole. You might want to call RVi as well as I bet they have a couple of ideas for you.

I have a similar situation with my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I contacted Rvi and got a quick response but no answer. Jerad suggested either bring the vehickle to thenm or send pix. I am going back under the dash one more time to see if i can find an existing hole. Drilling into the firewall makes me a bit nervous - too many critical components! If i don't identify a "safe" route i will either send them pix or really cave-in and go to an RV shop. I know this doesn't solve your issue (nor mine) but at least we are not alone with this problem. My issue is resolved - fouond a route through existing grommet. Have pull strings in place ready for final tasks and test.

I took another look today. Was able to route thru the steering wheel boot. That was the only place I could find. I did not want to try to drill.
Thanks to all for the advice and making me look again.
