Buying Baseplate on Internet

Has anyone bought their baseplate (Blue Ox/Roadmaster) on the internet (Amazon/Ebay)? Good/bad experience? Any pitfalls?

I bought mine from Etrailer 4 years ago and didn't have any issues at all. Saved a ton over Camping World.

We bought the Blue Ox base plate for our 20017 Jeep Wrangler from rvupgradestore.com - received it a week after ordering. Cost was $414.52 with free shipping.

I purchased a Blue Ox base plate from Amazon last week. Good price, fast shipping, no problems. Overall a great experience.

Got mine from Amazon Warehouse Deals for my 2015 Focus. Nearly everything I buy from Amazon I check there also. Never had any problems.

First off, wed have no problem ordering from Amazon. However, we wanted to be able to talk to a real person as we bought a baseplate, toad wiring harness etc. to be able to ask Qs so we went with etrailer.com. Price was slightly cheaper too. They were very knowledgeable, accommodating and excellent to work with. JMHO

I bought my Demco from PPL online. Went down to Cleburne and picked it up to save on shipping.

Bought last two from etrailer. Last was approximately a month ago for 2019 Equinox. Great service, I would definitely purchase from them again. They also have excellent utube instructional videos.

Etrailer.com is a very customer friendly organization. They have lots of videos to assist the DIY’er and are very responsive to inquiries. They earned my business a number of years ago. I do a heck of a lot of business on Amazon, but I’ll choose Etrailer over Amazon when possible just because I support what they are doing in the customer service arena.

I bought my first Baseplate, for an old MDX, (Blue Ox unit) from Amazon. I bought my second Baseplate, for my Corolla IM, from E-trailer (Roadmaster unit).

In both cases I used the E-trailer web site to do my product selection and asked their technical folks questions. E-trailer is very helpful so in the future, if there is a need for further towing products, I will give my business to E-trailer.

No problems with either purchase or shipping.
