Cadillac XT5 not towable

Finally got a reply from GM concerning towability of the XT5. Neither the FWD or AWD version can be dinghy towed behind a motorhome. Cadillac fans will have to find an SRX, or like me look at Ford Edge or Lincoln MKX. The list gets shorter every year.

I got the same bad news from Cadillac. Bummer, as it looks like a nice vehicle. It seems like a lube pump could be fitted for many more of these cars, but is not available. I guess Remco thinks the market is not worth the investment. I am considering a Lincoln MKX.

The MKX just got a "recommended" from Consumer Reports so that is a big plus for me.

I just (as in tonight) looked at a 2017 XT5 and read the manual. Disappointing. Dealer believes it stems from the new 8 speed tranny which is from the same company (forget name) that supplies Toyota. I ended up buying (gasp) at used 2013 SRX with low miles.
