I had an Roadmaster Invisabrake installed in our 94 Honda Accord last year. We camped for many years without towing a car, but finally decided to tow for a across-country trip. Sometime in the next year or so I would like to upgrade the 94 to something newer, like a CRV. It sure would be nice if I could just have the unit moved to the new car. Has anyone done this? Is it possible? Perhaps it would matter who does the change over too.

I can't see why not. If you're not comfortable taking the components out of your current vehicle and installing them on your next car, then maybe you can take it back to the place that originally installed it and have them do it for you.

I've had a U.S. Gear Unified Tow Brake transferred from one car to another using most of the same components so I'm thinking you can do the same. However, I had somebody else do it as I'm not "comfortable" doing that stuff myself. I could have tried to do it but chances are I'd mess it up to the point where I'd end up taking it to an expert to correct all the stuff I messed up so I just took mine to an expert to begin with.

Would mostly dependent on what type of power assist brakes the new car has. Going from a vacumed assist to a hydro boost would require new controller units.
