Can you flat tow a 2011 Jeep Liberty?

My wife wants one of those and not a Wrangler.

A 4 wheel drive Jeep appears to be flat towable, a 2 wheel drive does not. Go to this link and you can download a manual for the 2011 Jeep Liberty or other Jeep models.

thanks for the link, and yes you can flat tow the 4x4 Liberty assuming you follow the procedure.

It depends on the model of Liberty. The 4X4 automatic and the 5 speed manual can be towed as it comes from the factory. The 2WD automatic requires a transmission lube pump (see Home | Remco Towing).
The AWD automatic and the 6-speed manual can only be towed on a trailer.
