Can you flat tow a Dakota?

Can a 2010 Dodge Dakota be flat towed? It's not a 4x4.

Only the Dakota 4x4's are flat towable due to the ability to putting the transfer case in neutral.

You can if you add a Driveshaft Disconnect Coupling, but that ain't cheap.

The Dodge manual states that just disconnecting the driveshaft would cause trans fluid to leak out and cause damage. A disconnect coupling would not, but with install of base plate, brake system, wiring harness for lights, to also add a driveshaft disconnect is getting awfully expensive to tow a 4-5 year old vehicle. Probably cheaper to look for a newer car that would be towable. JMHO
