Car recomended for pulling behind our Class A?

Hello Rv-ers. What types of vehicles is everyone towing (on the ground without a dolly) behind their class A's? We want to purchase something asap!

Ahanks in advance for any recommendations yall have. Our current vehicles are both All-Wheel Drive and won't tow on all 4 wheels.

We tow 09 Chevy HHR. Just add a tow bar, light kit and tow. Place trans in neutral with switch in first position. You might also install a fuse switch instead of removing fuse # 8. No mileage or speed restrictions. I would recommend turning ignition off when you stop for the night.

Hi Anita & Dave, welcome to the forum. What kind of Class A are you pulling with and what is its' tow capacity? How many people are going to be in it? Do you want to go off road or not? More info would be helpful.

There's only one you need look at, a Jeep Wrangler...small, tough, fun in the sun (you can pull the roof down!!), easy to own and worth what you paid should you want to resell. Plus the new ones get very respectable fuel mileage. You're out having fun in your RV, why not have a tow vehicle that's just as fun??

Everything is kinda, sorta, not quite like a "real Jeep". All the other SUVs go to sleep, dreaming of what it would be like to be one lol.

We used to pull a soft-top TJ/Wrangler Sport, which automatically made us hip.

A Liberty is a good second choice that still isn't too vanilla, but taking the roof off is a little harder haha (unless you get one with a sky-slider roof that is)

2 + 1 + 1 Jeep Wrangler soft top. Also added a cage so we can carry the kayaks. Great tow vehicle.

We are towing our 89 wrangler... First time this trip. I can say it will be the last, with cramped back seat, no a/c, and poor visibility with our add on half door windows. It was a cheap route to go, but husband agrees, we could do better.
