I have a '96 Chev. Cavalier that we used to tow and now are getting ready to tow again. I used to pull a fuse to prevent the battery from draining but can't remember which one. Anyone? Thanks.

Check your owner's manual. It will probably tell you which fuse to pull.

I'm guessing it's the auxiliary circuit which powers accessory circuits when the ignition is 'off' but not locked.

Thank's Pusherman I'll give it a try. The manual is no help. There are two battery fuses, do you suppose that pulling one or both of them might work? I know that when we originally towed this car, many years ago, a dead battery at the end of a long day was a problem that I would like to avoid this time. I won't run a charge line as this is probably the only time we will be towing the Cavalier.

Pull the IGN (ignition) fuse. You should have a diagram in the manual or the fuse block cover.
