Chevy Spark 4 down Toad

I have just ordered a 2014 Chevy Spark LS 5 speed to use as a toad and knock about (will keep the F150 rigged up to tow). Great price from Mike Anderson Chevy in Chicago and will be shipping it to Mississippi in a few days, I have the Roadmaster brackets coming and Roadmaster 2 vehicle kit for the Brakemaster. Have not made up my mind on how to go with the tow lights but thinking about a fuse bypass on the car brake lights and ether add the toad plug in lights or use diodes, sure would be simpler if Tow Daddy (Hopkins) made one to fit the light plugs.
Going from over 5500# to under 2300# will be interested to see if I can tell, I think not but will see.

Have a 2013 Sonic, Spark's big sister, towing 4 down without any problem.

Our neighbors, here in SC, stopped by for a couple of days last week towing a newly acquired Spark. I didn't ask for any details, but obviously it can be done successfully.

Have a 2014 Spark. Blue Ox setup. It is a joy to drive, and wont beat you up driving it. Mine is the premium version --- 2LT with a 5 speed. And 35-42 mpg ain't bad either. Tows like it isn't there and weighs less than 2300lbs. I would recommend this car.

The 2013 Motorhome Towing Guide listed the Spark as being towable 4 down for the 5 speed. The 2014 is probably the same.

On setting up the Spark tow lights and using a Roadmaster Brakemaster i thought i would need a brake relay or a fuse bypass for the toad brakelights when the Brakemaster actavated the toad brakes but to my suprise the toad brakelights only light up the top part of the tail light and the bottom portion of the tail light is for toads signal and tail light only, so installed diodes to the bottom portion of the lights for the coach tail, brake and signal. Real simple.
