A friend of mine just picked up a used 2007 chevy suburban that was towed behing a class A with air brakes. He has a air operated piston that goes on the master clynder under the hood to get the brakes to work while towing it. My question is he asked me to sell it but I have no idea who makes the part and how to list it on ebay. also off the same truck he has some brakets to attach the front of the truck to the tow bar , who see these ? they are large black brakets that go in the holes for the OEM tow hooks on most likely any GM 1/2 ton truck/ suv. If any one is interested in these parts Pm me. I know this isnt the the for sale area but I do need some info if nothing else !

If the brake unit goes between the master and the booster it is a M&G unit. Check web site for price.

The brackets are called base plates sold by several manufactures, Blue Ox,Roadmaster,to name a few.

Do you have any pictures?
We are considering buying a tahoe and tow it.

Pictures of what? Base plates? M&G brake? Tahoes???

You can see what the Roadmaster or Blue Ox Base plates & tow bars look like on their respective websites. Superficially all cars with the Roadmaster or Blue Ox systems will look about the same - the differences are how they physically attach to the frame of the vehicle. That's mostly under the covers. Roadmaster uses an external face bar and Blue Ox does not - the Blue Ox face bar is behind the fascia of the vehicle. Thus the Blue Ox has a slightly cleaner appearance when disconnected. But the Roadmaster face bar is removable when not towing, so its not much different anyway.

Actually the newest Roadmaster baseplate for the Yukon/Tahoe does not use a "face bar" just the two barckets that replace the tow hooks, and all but the tubes are removable. I have a Blackhawk towbar, but I think the lack of a face bar is related to the new base plate, the tow bar actually came with one. Anyone want to buy it?

Chris, welcome to iRV2, and come back often.

We have a classified section, where you are welcome to post items for sale.
