Class A towing car trailer

We have a 38 foot class a and will be towing a 22 ft car trailer. For those of you who tow trailers, how do you find campgrounds that can accomodate your big rig? Thanks for your responses!

I used to tow a 26' enclosed trailer with a 73' OAL. Our son traveled with us at 75' length. We called ahead for RV spaces and we always found a place to accommodate us. Sometimes they would give us back to back spaces allowing us to take up two spaces each, but only charged us for one. One time when we were traveling alone, we had to stay at a Walmart, but that was the only time. More RV parks are providing for "Big Rig" parking with 70-80' spaces.

This is a good source for big rig rv park reviews.

Also, you can use camgroundreviews.com as a resource. It's a sister site to IRV2 and will show big rig access as well as providing a satellite view of the park so you can see access.

We are 29 ft. class A with a 22 ft. car trailer and stay in lots of KOA's. You can designate your length when making a reservation and very very rarely have we ever had to disconnect the trailer even at other campgrounds.

We have a class A and pull an enclosed trailer, 75’ total and like others stated, call ahead. We check out their website first also and they will usually list max length spots then when you call an reserve make sure you get one of the long spots. We have found a lot of casinos that have campgrounds have nice long spots and we try and stay at them. Good luck and safe travels

I have been towing a trailer for 15 years with an overall length of 56'. Always call and make reservations for a pull through site 56'+ long and never had a problem. I did have to use a back in site once but with a trailer you can back up so it was not a problem.

Never had an issue if you tell them your overall length!

We use a car trailer when towing one of our Jeeps. One thing to add to above, it is very helpful if the vehicle on the trailer has a receiver hitch to move the empty trailer.
