Sounds like they need to make up their minds unless they'er talking about the TJ here. Your email from them says that no diodes are needed because of the JK's wiring technology. As for the ignition being on and running down the battery, this shouldn't be an issue for at least the 2010's and above, since they no longer have a steering lock and the manuals, along with the dinghy guide are outdated.
Same o same o with many. Change the product and worry about the instructions and manuals later. Better yet, let the public figure it all out and then tell them. Saves money that way too.

have one installed on our 2007 JKU. Our Coach uses the same light for braking as it does for blinking which caused our blinkers to stop when I applied the brakes. Cooltech responded quickly with an answer and a fix. See picture below. Remove the fuse the finger is pointing to if you have the same problem.

Can anyone else chime in with any "gotchas" associated with the CoolTech harness? If anyone has installed it on a 2012 Wrangler, please post your experience. Thanks!

Thanks so much, Rick! I have emailed and left voice messages for CoolTech and they have NOT responded. Very frustrating.

Anyhow, if our motorhome has separate lights for the brakes and turn signals, then the fuse will not need to be removed?

Correct. But as always, your results may vary. Do not try this at home. You must be 18 to play. You do not have to be present to win.

Well OK then. I'll place an order. But if it doesn't work then it's all your fault. (And I hope they will respond to an order faster than they do to product questions. )

I received mine in two or three days after ordering.

It is very frustrating how they don't return calls or emails. If I recall their answering machine msg even says they resopond to emails within 24 hours. What a joke, I've been waiting over a month. Think I figured my issue out in the meantime but still would have been nice for them to follow up.

Isn't that the most annoying thing??? I believe the owner of CoolTech used to be active on this forum. Wish he would show up again to answer questions.

When did you order your harness?

Just buy the Mopar wiring harness and be done with it. They make one for towing the vehicle, not a tow harness. The tow harness is the one that goes in the back for towing with the Jeep. There is one that is just for being towed.

It has everything built in that you need, diodes, connectors and template to drill. The only bad thing is you have to drill a hole in the body. It has a built in rubber grommet that keep water out. Getting the grommet in the hole was the hardest part of the project.

It took me about 4 hours to instal.

Will do. According to Fedex it will be here tomorrow. I can't say when it will be installed, since my hubby has to fit the installation into his busy weekend schedule. I think he's going to install the ReadyBrake and breakaway system this weekend, so I'm sure if time permits he'll probably install the CoolTech as well.
