In the manual for our 2005 CRV it says that it shouldn't be towed at over 60 mph. Was this true for the earlier CRVs? How seriously do people take this? I don't plan on doing 80 in our motorhome, but 65-70 might be good occasionally.

Thanks in advance,

My 99 CR-V manual says "Your CR-V can be towed behind a motorhome at legal highway speeds.". Since I live in Arizona that would be 75 MPH. I have hit that speed a couple times on long downhill runs with a pack of 18 wheelers on my tail, but usually run under 65 MPH.

Our '04 manual says not to exceed 60MPH. Do or have I done so? You bet, I have. Now have 45K on the CR-V of which 20K+ have been behind the MH.

THe 2006 CRV "do not exceed" speed is 65 mph. I wonder why there's so much variation.
