Curb Weight Help

anybody know the actual curb weight of a late model 4 wheel drive Chevy Tahoe.

I have checked 2 dealers and nobody seems to know.

Any help would be great. the door states 7300LB, but so does the Suburban.

The 2010 Tahoe curb weight is about 5300 lbs for the 2WD and about 5600 lbs for the 4WD. GVWR is 7100 lbs. for the 2WD and 7300 lbs. for the 4WD.

The 2013 Tahoe curb weight is about 5500 lbs for the 2WD and about 5700 lbs for the 4WD. GVWR is 7100 lbs. for the 2WD and 7300 lbs. for the 4WD.

This gives a selection of vehicles. Chevrolet Cars, Trucks, SUVs, Crossovers and Vans
At bottom of page select under ownership "manuals and videos" ,select year and model
then download the pdf.
Then under driving and operating you should find a chart of TOW weight versus GCVW

mc4fun,
Well Sir, the very plain and simple answer for your, since your primary reason for asking is towing it, is to go and get it weighed. You can ask and people will be nice and send you to links, and articles etc. but, I and many others have found that "PRINTED" weights are, about 99.99% of the time, considerably wrong.

Our two recent toads, an '11 Honda CRV EXL 4WD was listed in the Dinghy Towing Guide as 3200 lbs. Wrong, on a certified scale, it came in at almost exactly 3700. Our present toad, an '11 GMC Sierra 1500 Extended Cab 4x4, according to the '11 Dinghy Towing Guide, is supposed to weigh 4875, WRONG, again on a certified scale, it tops 5300 lbs.

What this means is, if you're calculating close on the max weight of a tow bar or, towing weight of particular motor home, it could mean that you are over the max in either or, both cases. It's certainly up to you and you can simply take for granted what printed matter states. The cost of getting a toad weighed is pennies compared to issues you could run into down the road, and not very far I might add.

You can get it weighed at many refuse disposal areas, Moving and Van places of business, i.e. "Mayflower" etc. and, even a truck scale can do it for you. Your choice, good luck.
Scott

Actually you are the only person that can determine the ACTUAL curb weight of your proposed dinghy. You will need to load it asyou would for normal towing and fill the fuel tank. Head fro the scales and get your weight...less you since you do not ride in it when being towed.

You won't be setting any land speed records pulling that.

I pull a 99 Tahoe LT 4x4 now. We just took it to Philly and back and we averaged 65-70 except for mountains. Averaged 7 MPG.
I am looking to upgrade years tp a 11-13 in the next 12 months
