I'm towing a Jeep Wrangler 2 dr, auto.
8.2 so far but engine not broken in. Set at 69-71 on interstate type roads.

Towing 2010 Wrangler for last 3 years, over all sorts of terrain, we have been getting between 7.5 and 8.5 miles / gallon. ( Cummins ISL 400 hp in our 40' Ventana )
Have never driven any great distance without toad attached.
Didn't feel Jeep Wrangler behind us at all
Just switched to 2015 Grand Cherokee. Took a test run after install of tow package. Extra 1000 lbs on GC is noticeable entering the Highway, Once you get it all moving, no difference.
Using Readybrake Elite Tow Bar & Brake, with Blue Ox baseplate.
Have to wait a couple of weeks to see what mileage we will get.

2016 Phaeton 36GH with 380 hp ISL towing 4dr Rubicon and dash display says 8.2 mpg. I also run 70 mph.

Towing F150 CC 4x4, getting 6.5 - 7.2, doing the math method. Sometimes heavy generator use throws everything off. I log every gallon but only pay attention to actual highway miles.

our '14 Palazzo 35' towing our '14 Fiesta gets avg 11.4 mpg diesel over two years and 50,000+ miles, 300hp cummins, generally 60-62mph is the sweet spot...
not including generator usage

I pull a 2011 Honda Accord. At 20K miles I'm getting 9.5 MPG using math not computer. One trip I got 10.4 with a coach weight of 38K lbs pulling the Honda. Speeds are 65-70 MPH. Can't complain.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe the generator usage affects the computer read out on MPG. The gen set certainly uses fuel but the mpg is determined by the amount of fuel the engine consumes not total fuel used.
I know ideling the coach engine for a long period will degrade fuel economy.

We get about the same on our 2014 Palazzo 33.2 towing a Mini Cooper...anywhere from 11 to 12mph depending on terrain and speed.

We tow a 2006 Envoy behind a 2013 Holiday Rambler 36 pft. On our last trip down NJ and back to eastern Long Island...8.2 miles per gallon. Most travel was 70 mph.

Yes, the dash readout does not account for generator fuel usage. However, if you compare the dash readout to actual calculated miles/gallons for a given trip you will find the dash readout is always overstated by at least 10% to 15%.

I agree. Our MADP, My Ford F250, and my Chevy before that all have overstated the MPG. I never rely on what the trip computer says.

We tow a Jeep Cherokee Limited with our 35' 16 Palazzo which has a 300hp Cummings. All fuel mileage is calculated using excel which we use to track all the coach records and average between 11 and 12 depending on the terrain. We never try to exceed 65 and find 60 to provide the best mileage for us.

We typically get between 6.5 and 7 mpg - with or without the toad. Speed, wind and traffic all seem to have a greater effect on mileage than whether or not the toad is back there. Note these figures were calculated the using the old fashioned method of (Ending Mileage - Starting Mileage)/# of Gallons to required to refill the tank. This doesn't factor in fuel used to run the generator and/or used by the Aquahot.

Our dash readout consistently report 7.5 - 7.8 mpg.

Our 1996 Beaver Monterrey tows our 2002 Jeep Liberty at 9 to 11 mpg (depending on speed and terrain}. Our 'sweet spot' falls at 66 mph (2300 to 2500 rpms). Mileage calculated in excel.
