D Brake Question

I am in the process of looking at purchasing a braking system to tow a Tahoe behind our motor home and have been looking at a supplemental braking product called D Brake. The company is located in New Britain Ct and wonder if anyone has had any experience with their units, good and bad. I have seen prices between $999.00 and $1200.00. Is this pricing in line?

Bob, I would encourage you to shop. For that kind of money I would look at the SMI Air Force One!

Hey Bob, I got myself a D-Brake unit quite some time ago at an FMCA rally in Elkhorn, WI and they stated that their usual price is $1,275, show price $1000, and any trade ins for $875. I was able to trade in my old Brake Buddy (not working at all) and upgrade. I've used it for quite some time now and its working out great. I love how its not permanently installed so I can switch it form one car to the other and that it doesn't use an air compressor (has an electric actuator) which I always found to slam on my brakes. It also doesn't use a pendulum (has an accelerometer) like my old system haha.... a pendulum. I can't believe my brake buddy lasted as long as it did.
