Demco 9511009 Excali- Bar Tow Bar vs the Blue Ox BX7445

Hello,

I need some help deciding between the Demco 9511009 Excali- Bar Tow Bar and the Blue Ox BX7445 Aventa LX. Both seem to heavy duty and can handle my Hummer H3, but the Demco works out a little cheaper. Right now I am leaning toward Demco. Does anyone have any experience with both? Which one do you prefer and why?

I have a Demco and it is great. Each arm is independent, and that makes for the fastest and easiest connecting and disconnecting I have ever done.

You can completely connect or disconnect and store each arm one at the time. Best tow bar I have ever had.

Good Luck!

OK, here we go. These are wide open questions because they are both good products.
Personally, I like my BlueOx Aventa because when I unhook, I pull the two pins, slip on a 1 7/8" tow ball cover over each pin bore and that's it. Does not look like a dogs breakfast hanging off the front of my car.
Hook up and disconnect is a breeze. BlueOx makes a quality product and great factory aftermarket support.

I have the old style Demco, Illuminator, I think. The hitch place where I had it installed had both the Blue Ox and Demco. When I asked what the difference in the two tow bars were.....they said $100.00.

So I went with Demco...the cheaper of the two.

Been using it for seven years....no problem

I'm going to buy a couple tomorrow, with all the road salt we get all winter long up here I expect these will do the trick keeping them clean.

when a blue ox needs rebuilding they charge up the wazoo. Demco no charge for life.
