Demco Kar Kaddy

For those who may be considering a tow dolly, I'd like to relate my recent experience. Having just upgraded from a 5th wheel to a New-to-us Class A, we were in the market for a tow dolly. I suspect that like many, I blew our budget on the MH. I looked at Stiehl (not impressed) then Tow Master (better but still not great) then Acme EZ tow, RoadMaster and Demco. The Acme and Demco brands were highly recommended by my mechanic. I couldn't afford new so looked at used. I found a used Demco 2004 KK360SB (6000# capacity w/surge brakes) with the car shield fairly close to here for $650 and bought it. NOW THE PURPOSE OF THIS THREAD
I called Kevin at Demco, said I was having the unit sandblasted and intended to repaint it to look like new and asked what it would cost for new decals, the two rubber grips and a spring for the rachet. REMEMBER this is a NINE YEAR OLD UNIT...Kevins response...We will ship the parts out AT NO COST tomorrow!!!! Folks, that in itself made a believer out of me!!! Talk about customer service!!!!

We have a KK-460, had a fender crack around the mounting holes. Called Demco, they had me take some pictures and send to them. They then asked for a shipping address and sent two new fenders at no charge. This was in 2011 and the KK was purchased in 2007.

I'd also like to rave about their service, but I can't. The product is so good, I haven't needed any service. Got mine in 05. Bought it new.

I used to work there in high school, this is typical Iowa / midwestern mentality, take care of the customer, they will come back. Great people at Demco, they make great products and people love to work for them. The way a business should be. The Car Kaddy was a big hit for them and really grew their business, my Dad still has one of the original ones, and it's still going strong. It's been repainted a few times and gone through a few sets of tires, but what's not to like about simplicity and good design.
