Demco, SMI, low battery warning on toad

Demco, we need a flashing rear view active led to throw a low energy code. When the toad battery dies.

I was a dumb &$#, and left the ignition on overnight at a rest stop. On 2 new interstate batts, my bad. But it would be nice if if the toad cast,, im done into the camera. So I know there is a problem. The 2 interstates did 800 miles despite my dumb ##$ not turning it off at the end of the evening. But it was 400 miles through driving rain. That was a long night.

Dead on arrival, after 2 days. But I am home.

I can't help you to remember to check the Toad when you stop, rain or shine, but you might install a charge wire to keep the Toad battery charged as you drive down the road. The charge wire could be a spare pin in your umbilical cord, with an auto reset circuit breaker to prevent more than 10-15 amps flowing through the wire.

Yea, I have had some gremlins running around in the Ford duel battery system for the last two weeks. Found out the original ignition charge solenoid was fried, shop replaced it. Then the super stereo fried the second aftermarket. Just had a new 130 amp alternator installed with factory ignition solenoid installed .

4th time I have had to address this. Once I get the van to stand on it’s own 2 feet. Then we can go after the “remote” charge line.

The original alternator has 200,000 on it, probably just enough to keep the lights on and start. But not much else, it has to be roached.

Think I found it, Frame to chassis ground wire ribbon was holding on by a thread. Replaced, coming back up into full power.
