DEMCO Towbar

I currently have a Blue Ox Alexis towbar and am considering replacing it with a Demco Dominator due to it's lighter weight. My toad weighs in at 5800#, so am wondering if this 7500# Dominator is strong enough or do I need the heavier 10,500# ExcalibarII? I'm partial to the aluminum built Dominator for weight reasons and its durability.

My question is why don't we see a larger user base for the Demco products? Is the 7500# bar sufficiently-sized for my 5800 # toad?

Finally, what's the best way to re-sell my Blue Ox towbar?

Hi slabman,
For me, I'd go with the 10K rated tow bar. That's what I did (Blue Ox) with a 5300 (real However, based on the info provided in the OP, you'll be fine with the 7500 pound rated tow bar.
