Details for 2011 Tundra Toad

We are thinking of getting a 2011 Toyota Tundra to tow behind our 40' Phaeton. Can we put on a Remco drive shaft disconnect and if we do will the odometer turn while we are towing. We have a Roadmaster Even Brake now in our CRV toad and planned to use that in the Tundra. Is that ok? An old post seemed to indicate we would need a different system because the power brakes operate even if the Tundra is set to tow. Does anyone know about these two items?

The Remco Disconnect people say that it works - look up your 2011 Tundra in the charts here:

As for the Even Brake, I suggest you contact Roadmaster Tech Support. If it has hydroboost, you may need to set it up differently.

Thank you! We'll be glad to have this all taken care of and get on the road again. This is a great RV site. I hope we can help someone to "pass it on".

As to your odometer question, NO the odometer will not register mileage as long as the key is in the off or acc position. If the key is left in the on position then the ECM is powered and it will register mileage. However with use of a driveshaft disconnect, no transmission output shaft rotation will occur thus no mileage will register.
