Safety chains/cables should be crisscrossed under the tow bar, a law in some states. Light cable should be under also, to protect it from possibly dragging tie it up with an 18" gear tie. Then use the gear tie to secure the trash bag used to cover the tow bar when parked. Gear ties can be found at cabelas, Home Depot, Walmart etc.
My emergency tool bag now has gear ties in addition to gorilla tape, WD40, and zip ties.

The Roadmaster tech suggested ball bungees for securing the cables. I purchased a bag of about a gazillion for $6 from Amazon. My towing equipment bin also has rubber mallet for when you don't have time to fool around while getting the pins out.
