No.

There's a Jeep Patriot & a Honda Pilot, but not a Jeep Pilot. If you can clarify your vehicle, we can help you.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Ok thanks. Well I'm having some doubts in the FMCA guide. It claims there is a 55mph limit on that Ranger but nothing about automatic verses manual? I need a guide like the FMCA towing guide to at least start my looking before actually checking the particular owners manuals.

I suppose you like your CRV. I'm thinking of the CRV but have never been a import owner while being Union construction worker for 36 yrs. I like the weight of the CRV being under 3500lb

Yes, we like it. It's imported from Canada, so although not made in USA it was at least made in North America.

I hardly ever see any being towed, thought they had to be standard shift?

The 2WD Ranger automatic is not towable 4 down, 2WD or 4 WD manual is and later years 4 WD autos are with a NTK (Neutral Tow Kit) and a computer reprogram. See thread in the sticky section.

The automatics could be towed 4 down with the driveshaft disconnected.

I am new to this forum. Been RVing for years. Has anyone towed a Jeep Liberty automatic 2WD V6 (2004 or so...) with a trans pump? 4WD Is better but at the moment do not want to trade vehicles.

Oops! Shows how much I know. I was talking about the Jeep. I think my answer is NO. At least not in automatic transmission.

I actually found this article, which has been a great help. Our next vehicle we purchase must be towable. We will probably have to replace one of our vehicles within the year, so are checking out our options.
