Dinghy towing a 2009 Chevy Cobalt.

I have a 2009 Chevy Cobalt FWD (No Turbo) and have never towed on my Class C. I have a Blue OX Tow bar with all the parts. I originally bought for my Olds Achieva. What can I expect for a baseplate for this vehicle and what else do I need BEFORE I put it on the road to tow it. Is a brake system necessary? Best Place to look for one. Recommendations??

PS: I now seem to have a brand new Acme "EZE-TOW" Tow Dolly for SALE Cheap with an extra tire. Been used once!!!

Hello CSM; The 2009 towing guide
says your car is approved for flat-towing, so the largest hurdle is gone. Since you already have a Blue Ox tow-bar, I would buy the Blue Ox base-plate also. It is more hidden than the other brands when the attachment bars are removed.
You will require a braking system(majority of states require one for over 2,000#) for your car, and the type that is totally hidden is recommended, so you don't have to fool with it at all. The type that sits in the floorboard is a pain to move out/in every time you tow the car.
To advertise your new tow dolly go to our classified section.
